Our Beliefs: About God We believe that there is only one God who exists in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. About Jesus We believe that Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary, that he is both fully God and fully man, that he never sinned and that he performed miracles. Jesus suffered, was crucified, dead and buried and rose from the dead. He gave His life as a blameless sacrifice for our sin. Jesus is now with the Father in heaven but will someday return to earth in power and glory. About the Holy Spirit We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, equal to the Father and Son in power and majesty. He is God effective in Creation, in life, and in the church. He indwells every Christian and provides the power for living a life that pleases God. The Holy Spirit acts as a guide to show us the Truth and help us to resist what is not from God. About the Bible The Bible is God's written Word, without error and inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Scriptures have come to us through human authors who wrote, as God moved them, in the languages and literary forms of their times. God continues, by the illumination of the Holy Spirit, to speak through this Word to each generation and culture. It teaches the truth about God, His creation, His people, His one and only Son, and the destiny of humankind. It also teaches the way of salvation and the life of faith. About Mankind God created human beings in His own image, free and responsible to choose between good and evil, right and wrong. Sin has corrupted our nature and we are unable by our own strength and work to restore ourselves to a right relationship with God. About Salvation Christ offered once and for all the one perfect sacrifice for the sins of the whole world. A new life and a right relationship with God are made possible through the redemptive acts of God in Jesus Christ. God, by His Spirit, acts to impart new life and put people into a relationship with Himself as they repent and their faith responds to His grace. About the Church We believe that the Church is made up of all people, around the world, who have placed their faith in Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. This Church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The purpose of the Church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to the world. About Eternity We believe that our eternal destiny is determined by God's grace and our response. Those who trust Him and obediently follow Jesus as Savior and Lord will spend an eternity in the presence of God. Those who have not placed their faith in Christ will spend an eternity away from the presence of God.
